On Saturday, November 19, we will be retiring from farming, and therefore, leaving the Overland Park Farmers Market to begin a new chapter in our lives.  We are building our dream home in western Wyandotte County where we hope to begin to enjoy “the good life”.  We will put away the alarm clocks, not worry about the daily weather report, and start to relax and enjoy retirement life together.

In 1988, “Dragush Produce” started out as a hobby for George.  Now, 28 years later, Dragush Produce has transformed into a prominent local grower, one that its loyal customers have relied on for some of the best homegrown produce in the area.  Looks like now we’ll be exchanging the seeds and tractors for hot wings, cold beer, and KU basketball games!

We will miss each and every one of our treasured friends and valued customers whom we have thought of as family over these past 28 years.  You have stuck by us through the hard times and the good times, and a simple “thank you” just doesn’t seem quite enough.

We especially want to express our heartfelt gratitude to our children, George and Deneen, and our grandchildren, Taylor and Nick, who supported us and worked alongside us every step of the way both at the market and in the field.  They are the love, pride, and joy of our lives.

We also want to thank all of our friends and family members who have worked with us over the years. In the heat of the summer or on frosty fall days, our ladies in their “purple aprons” have brought so much enjoyment to us and to our customers.

Please make sure that you stop by our counter on or before November 19 so that we can say goodbye, thank you, and wish you and your loved ones continued blessings.
